PCCM+ audio quality
After installing the PCCM+, I feel the audio quality is not as clear as the CDR 24 that came with the car, a 2006 base Boxster 987.
The stereo installer ( a Porsche referral ) suggested the power antenna could be the cause. When I raised the audio quality issue, he recommended using CarPlay for music.
i just want the PCCM+ to play clean, clear sounds.
Id like to hear from others who are listening through PCCM+ as to how you see it.

I've found the audio quality with my PCCM+ was improved. For voice with phone calls, spoken word/news, and music.
I just wish there were an easy Porsche supported back up camera with it.

Thanks. I installed a generic back-up cam I found on Amazon. With the help of a uTube video and neighbor, it was a snap. Two things about back up cams I learned: 1. Some cams are not adjustable after installation, esp up and down
2. The threaded part was plastic and not metal. Not a big deal, but I prefer metal threaded part.
My PCCM+ phone audio is superb, bu I think that has more to do with the iPhone.

I use a Firefly Bluetooth unit in my .2. It is has an app that actually includes a simplified equalizer, which makes a huge difference when streaming music. I highly recommend spending $40 before laying down big money for an upgraded PCM.

I'm having an issue as well after installing a PCCM+ in my 2005 Boxster S with Bose. The sound seemed a little muted and the sounds was quite loud when the volume was set to "1" and didn't increase after "14". I've read elsewhere that this might be an issue with the MOST-adapter which is used to convert the fiber optics signal. I'm not sure this is the same issue as you have but it might be worth a try to do the following.
- Install your CDR-24 again
- Turn volume up to max
- Install PCCM+ again
This resolved the issue I had for 95% the sound is much clearer and more adjustable.
When you're experiencing your problem, what kind of audio source are you using?
