Aftermarket Dual Exhaust Tip
Hi, I bought an aftermarket exhaust tip with dual tips to replace the single, wide-mouth tip. It's a direct bolt-on and was a simple install. However, it sticks out further than stock and I don't like the look. Has anyone tried cutting the centre pipe (the one that the tip bolts on to)? If so, what did you use to cut it? I believe it's stainless. I think cutting about an inch off should get the new tip where I want it. Any thoughts on how you would approach it?
Racing Dynamics Exhaust Tip
OEM setup. OEM tip attached to centre pipe.
Centre pipe pic where the cut would need to go. (not from my car)
New tip installed, side view.
New tip, angle view.
New tip, rear right angle.

I would just measure the overhang you want to remove. Clean the pipe, mark with tape for your cut line. Get a 12" hacksaw to do the cutting, something similar to this would do the job fine -
