Automatic headlights for your 987
Hi, I'd like to introduce myself:
I am a longtime Rennlist member, who is mostly on the 997 & 964 forum.
Hey, you have only a few posts. Why do you claim to be a longtime member? Good question! My private account is @Hatzenbach and this here @997research is my "vendor account".
OK, back to topic: I always wondered why a car like the 997/987 doesn't have headlights that turn on/off automatically, like (almost) all the other cars in my stable do.
Well, I figured that I can fix that and created a small electronic device that gets plugged between the headlight switch and the wiring harness for the switch and which does exactly that.
Installation is plug & play. I've already sold a lot of them (to 997 and 987 owners) and everyone seems to like them.
It works for 987.1, 987.2, 997.1 997.2
Interested? You can read much more here in this (very lengthy) thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...d-997-2-a.html
And if you want to read even more about it / read FAQs / look at the manual / and finally if want to order one, please go to www.997research.com

No affiliation, but I can comment this mod is easy, fast, and the benefit is just as advertised - proper auto lights on, for tunnels and similar...
The supplied light sensor, as recommended in the install process, is far right in the pic below, tucked into the defroster vent:

@997research I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how pleased I am with this product. Happened to see this thread and bought one right away. Shipping was quick and installation was a breeze. Tested and works perfectly.
Not having auto headlights has always bugged me, and now that is issue is solved. Thanks I appreciate innovations/hacks like this.
