Speed Chime
Hi all,
I had my battery go dead yesterday after leaving the parking lights on accidentally. I got a jump, but my 2006 987 is still not happy. I had an airbag light on and a weird speed alarm. The car is running fine, and no other alarms or indicators are on.
I have an iCar POR v2 ODB computer and I went through and cleared all the CAN bus and low voltage errors in the computer. There are no codes in the Passager Supplemental Restraint Section. The airbag light cleared.
I keep getting a chime at 60MPH+ . The speed alert functions on the computer stalk had no effect. I set it to 120mph, I turned it on and off, and I still got the speed chime at ~60. At one point during the drive it seemed to go away and then returned. I never got the speed circle alert on the display or the beep when the chime sounded.
Any ideas how to clear or reset this? I don't have a Porsche dealer or mechanic near me.
