This happened awhile back but as I was switching my interior lights to LED, the glove box light shorted out. After that, remote locking doesn't work except from at an angle at a certain distance. I've read about the glove box light affecting this. I just wanted to confirm what I've describe matches up.

And which part would need to be replaced?

I haven't heard this before, definitely going to be checking my glovebox light to see if it works because my key remote does not.
