It depends? Do you have an issue or are you looking for preferences?

If my feet are cold or hot, I put it on my feet. If my chest is cold or hot, I put it on my face. Most of the time I'm neutral and leave it on auto, then use seat heaters to warm up. Auto climate control is the bee's knees.
