Hey all, looking into buying a used Cayman S in WA, USA as stated above. I just talked to Bellevue Porsche to do a PPI and a bore scope, but looking at some threads it looks like most people prefer indys. New to buying high performance used cars so please forgive the lack of knowledge. I believe that model should have a M97 so IMS issues should be less likely. Is there anything else I should look at/do as due diligence before buying. Is a dealer fine or should I really take it to an indy shop instead/in addition to?

I have used Squire's Autowerke in Bellevue and would recommend them for an independent PPI. It may be difficult to find a reputable Indy in the Seattle/Bellevue area that isn't already booked up as the demand for auto repair is very high right now.
