Default (Bump) TPMS one wheel dead.

I have had one wheel (FrRt) dead since I got the car about 15 months ago.
I assumed it was a dead sensor.
Just had the tire replaced and was going to have them replace the sensor, but they said it it good and has a good battery.
Next will be the antenna or the main module.

Looking for thoughts and experience.

Update: The sensor started "working" but it is reporting 0 psi.
Is there a way to reset the pressure level, or is it probably a bad sensor?

Unplug the module in the frunk and disable TPMS using a coder. TPMS was an option on 987 models in most of the world and it's just a matter of 'telling' the car's computer if it's installed or not. Can easily be reversed, saves money, and wheels swaps are quick and easy.

Trying to fix the problem, not disabled it.
I know how to do that.

Hello, just because the sensor battery is ok doesnt mean it is reporting properly. If one sensor is getting funny ( unless the rest are very new) I would probably change all 4. I doubt it is the antenna or module unless you can see damage to the antenna.
These systems are a bit touchy. Every once in a while, my system reports something strange. I have new sensors that all check out ok.
What I have read here, and it worked for me, was to overinflate the tires ( to about 50 psi) turn on the ignition so the module sees this, then let the air out to the proper level.

Hope this helps, good luck

Use the menu to do a reset so all are reporting 0 psi. Drive around for and they should start reporting again after a while. If one or more are not reporting out and the batteries are ok it is likely the sensor is faulty.

Had a new sensor installed (Easy peasy since the shop put the tire on in the wrong direction.)
