Congratulations!

Would love to hear your experience and confirmation that they do not throw CELs!

Are you doing before / after dyno runs?

I can confirm they don't throw a CEL on a '09 Boxster 2.9.

Thank you. I'll give more of an update once the recommended break in period has passed.

No dynos.

Update: Break-in period of about 1,500 miles and I think I made a mistake. There is no noticeable sound increase and it is probably quieter. I should have done something else. Gert's products are crafted really well and the shipping was quick, the service was great and communication was great, but I just don't notice a difference at all.

I'm now looking for another solution, but it is a shame to have to remove the PSE for something else. Every catback system seems to be over priced and I'm not convinced it will be louder.

Are you looking for more sound inside the car or outside? I bet it sounds great outside the car with your current setup.

More sound all around. It sounds good outside but it is very quiet.

Default 987.2

The modified cans really need a set of headers/200 cell cats (pick your mfr) to juice things up.

Yessir. Got the Carnewal rear section on my ‘09 2.9, too quiet. Added Gert’s 200 cell headers and it’s perfect.

I did the modified Carnewal 200 cell cat upgrade with Gert and have the PSE. It sounds the exact same or a little quieter. Now I am wondering if I should go with a catback like AWE, or go full catless headers...

Gert's headers don't sound any louder to me after 1,800 miles! With PSE.

To add some sound without making it too loud I would get Soul or Cargraphic Headers with 200 Cel Cats in combination with the stock PSE. It won’t drone and will add volume without changing the pitch. Here’s what the Cargraphic sounds like, not my car:

I would have made this change a while ago if I didn’t have to have the car smogged every other year.

That sounds great! I don't understand why my car is so quiet! 200 cell cats and PSE.

Now considering AWE or Soul catback. Maybe Armytrix. Any thoughts on those? I want it louder!

Default Sound

FWIW, PSE w/open valves may be quieter than modified cans.
All I can say is with Soul Headers/200 c HKS cats and modified cans I would
not want it any louder, top open or closed.
