Bought this car about a week ago and loving every minute of it. Today I installed clear side markers, Rennline phone mount and went for a long drive.
I plugged in my 12V USB phone charger in the passenger footwell and at one point had to run into a store. I know the ports are always powered but for some reason the car would not lock and interior lights stayed on. Once the charger was unplugged the car locked without issues.
Is this normal behavior or an issue with the car/cheap charger?

i use the 12v cigarette type outlet in the console and plug in a 12v to a USB 2.0 connector to charge my phone. ( 2007 cayman ). i have no problems. i don't use the 12v outlet in the passenger side wheel well. in fact, i've disabled it.
