Default HELP! Torque converter?

Need some help. Just bought my 2006 Cayman S last week. 95k miles. At about 2000 Rpm area steady, the rpms surge up slightly.you can watch the tax go from 2000 to 2100-2200. It will keep doing this over and over with steady throttle at 2000 rpm area. It shifts fine in manual mode and cant really feel this at all. It is almost as if the transmission is slipping but I feel it may be more like torque converter locking and unlocking possibly... It drives me nuts. The previous owner told me he only drove in Manual with the triptronic... I see why now. I feel he wasn't up front about this issue. He told me "you cant drive it like a Camry". Does this sound like torque converter issue? It does it in 4th and 5th gear.

A Tiptronic shifting in manual but slipping in auto is a sign of the gear oil going out of shear. Unless you’re certain it’s been serviced recently, try changing the ‘box oil and filter before you rip it apart
