Default Got the rear big Brembos installed today

The job went along quite nicely, with, as usual, my expert mechanic/BFfL doing all the important work and me doing the grunt work.. (He's still recovering from a dose of COVID late last year and is not yet back to regular work.) Did not have to adjust the parking brakes.

Don't know if it stops better, but it sure LOOKS better. 😊

Looks fantastic!! Just a suggestion, but maybe a single thread for updates on your Cayman would make more sense than a new post every time?

That looks spectacular! I also agree with palestar, one consolidated thread on this amazing car would be great. Not a biggie, I see your name, I click, I smile.

Personal nitpick, I think your new tires look too big, seems out of proportion to the car and too stuffed in the rear. For looks the 245 and 275 combo was the winner for me.

If I drop that kind of dime... I want to make a new post about it too.

First, TYVM for your compliments.

Second, U have a point about the rear tires, and I'll think about it; I can afford another pair of tires.
🤔😉😊

TYVM, and I have no good idea how to combine threads, but I suppose I could create a 'collection' thread that contains links to all mine in this subforum.

Well, I disagree enough to have the other 4 Contis mounted on wheels and then get the left-hand pair on the car.. Here's a pic of the car's left side; I think the tires are perfect. 😁

=====================
On another subject, I finally got smart enough to read the 718 Cayman GTS Porsche configurator correctly and 'painted' the base, 20" 718 Sport Wheels, silver, and the car looks considerably better.. And it's better enough so that I now have no intention to mount the 19"ers from this 2010 on the prospective GTS and also I'm back to Gentian Metallic...

I've also chosen the more-expensive 'natural leather' interior--expresso and cognac--and black calipers for those dinky-looking brakes.. Too bad it isn't available with PCCBs.. This probably will be a 2023 before I see it.
