2006 Cayman S Manual. I am adding the following:
-Rennkit Bluetooth Adapter (needs constant battery and a switched battery)
-Radar Detector (switched battery)
-Dash Cam (switched battery
The plan is to use fuse block taps for them Looking for suggestions on which fuses. Thanks

I don't know about the 987.1 you have, but on my 987.2 I tapped the "cell phone" point for my radar detector. It provided a switched output easily. Couple that with constant battery from some other port (there were some others, but I didn't need them) and it should be easy enough. I chose cell-phone because I don't have that option in the car, so it's an open/available port for me... that way I didn't even need a piggy-back fuse holder...
I'd suggest just using a volt-meter to find ports that you want to use... it's easy enough to do that way. I chose locations where I saw the metal terminal was there, but there was no fuse... makes it easy to select an unused circuit. Just be sure to use your own fuse when you tap it!

there are often a couple of 12v power supply jacks in cars these days. often one is switched and one is constantly on. your user manual should show you where they are at in the car (most modern cars have multiple fuse boxes) and in the section of the manual involving fuses should show you which fuse box, and which fuses in the box are associated with the jacks.

I used C6 for a switched supply. I have a 987.2 Boxster and that location was marked "rear window wiper" which I obviously don't have. I used A8 for always on which is for the 12V socket in the passenger footwell.

On an '06 Cayman S, C1 appears to be unused as a circuit 15 source. B5 appears to be unused as a circuit 30. This is from the factory wiring diagrams. Depending on how your car is optioned, other slots in B1-6 and C1-6, and throughout the fuse box, may be open.
