Default Found a 2010 Cayman S in town to accompany my...

...ordered-on-January 2022 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.. Willl post pics soon--I hope!

Here are 2 of my '06 S of yesteryears.. I loved this but it was the 'straw' that wore out my already worn left-knee joint.

Default And I bought it.

My Porsche advisor and I sort of fell in love with every aspect of, and I'm THRILLED.. Both of us thought the wheels look MUCH better in person than in the dealer's not-so-good pics.

Very nice, welcome to the Cayman/Boxster club! And that's quite a unique color!

Looks good! Also like the wheels and color. Shems to be on lowering spings or coils already.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! and aren't U observant! In the frunk was a red box labeled Eibach Pro-Kit 7219-140 which contained 4 stock-looking springs, which I assume are OE.. I also assume the car is wearing the Eibachs.

Default New wheels, finally!

In this new world of supply-chain issues, finding new wheels that one will love was a problem.. After searching MANY sites and what seems like thousands of wheels, I found last nite this one...

They're available in the half-inch-wider widths...8-1/2- and 10-inch...I wanted, and I chose the [EDIT] Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in one-centimeter-wider 245/35ZR19 and 275/35ZR19 for the 8.5- and 10-inch-wide wheels.. When this Cayman might have been my only Porsche and only car, l had chosen the super-all-season Continental Extreme Contact DWS06s I had on my '06 S-model and other vehicles.. Tires will be a centimeter wider at 245 fronts and 275 rears.. All were purchased from ElementWheels.com, a big wheel-and-tire retailer local to me in Chandler, AZ and will be available in about 3 weeks. 😊 😁 😃

What do you plan to do with the old set? I am buying a 2010 S in a few days and hate the wheels the car comes with. I love yours. I'll be out in Phoenix in a few weeks.

PM me, pls; the complete tires and wheels will be available in a couple weeks.. The wheels are in at least very good condition, overall, and the tires are almost full-depth tread but they're about 6 years old.. They'll be a fine bargain if you can retrieve them personally.

Default New tires and wheels next week!

Tires arrived at my house this week...

(The tire sticker belongs to the Yokos to the right.)
...and the wheels arrived at Element Wheels today.. Will be mounted next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I've reinstalled the original front springs; that raised the front an everage of 1.45".. Tomorrow we'll remove those springs, cut a half-coil off of each, and reinstall them.. The vast majority of this work was and will be done by my BFfL goodbuddymechanic, who has lost a good bit of stamina after a COVID attack last December.. So he has about half the stamina he had, and I make about a quarter-person helper.. But he said he really wanted to do this work, so he is.. We'll most-probably get only the front springs done tomorrow. More pics coming.
