Unhappy 2006 Cayman S

Hello all, I am a first time Porsche owner and have had my Cayman for almost two years. Recently i have noticed a slight shimmy, wobble kind of feeling upon starting out on a drive. It lasts for a few miles and then goes away?? I can feel it under my seat and towards the rear of the car. There has not been any other problems whatsoever that I am aware of. Anybody ever experience this and/or have any thoughts, ideas, recommendations?

Puzzled PeePaw!! :-)

Thanks for any responses!!

Is there anything about the road(s) that make up "the start of a drive" that might be a catalyst?

I ask because I can't for the life of me think of a suspension component or drivetrain component that would swing that dramatically in a short distance.

High performance tires can develop flat spots after sitting and getting cold. Once the tires warm up again they become round. This is not at all unusual, and can become more pronounced as the tires get older.

Excellent point. Hadn't thought of that.
But I obviously haven't experienced it since I ain't letting it sit.

That sounds exactly like what it must be. The tires have about 20k on them.

Thx
