This isn't helpful, as you already said the 997 is staying. But having a 987.2 and a 993 would pretty much be my dream garage. Trade the 997 GT3 and 993 tip for a manual 993 and a 987 R/Spyder

Having owned a 993 for 10 years and now a 987 Spyder, I have no regrets getting rid of the 993. The amount of time and money to keep the 993 in good working order was taking the enjoyment out of the car. Boxsters and Caymans are what the 993s and earlier 911s used to be. Relatively inexpensive and shade tree mechanics could work on them. I remember a guy named Robin on the 993 forum that fixed just about everything that went wrong on a 993 and explained how you could do the same. Now 993 owners talk about how much money their car is worth. Not the same ownership experience anymore.
