Default AC Stink

About a month ago my AC really started to smell BAD. A very mechanical, acrid smell. I looked at the cabin air filter, it seemed fine. So I fbrezed it and that helped for a day. So I replaced it and that didn't help at all. After running the Ac for a while the smell eventually tappers off. But the next day it's right back. Any ideas on the cause and fix for this??

Thanks.

Check the drain on the condenser coil. Moisture build-up there will make your AC skunky.

This is what I usually do......... When running A/C, I always turn off the "Recycle" air and uses outside fresh air, and always turn off the A/C but still let the fan running 1 mile before my destination. The fresh air will eliminate the moisture build-up around the condenser coil, the smell is coming from the moisture build-up around the condenser coil, and make sure the drain is not clogged.
