Default Durametric coding 987.2 - dumb questions

Hi all. I recently had to replace my rear control module because of clogged drains. I bought a Foxwell to reset something’s but it didn’t have enough options, so I have rented a Durametric Pro (this has all been going on for like a month now). So now I am ready to make all necessary changes but am unsure about some things, maybe you can help? The battery was disconnected for a few days for various/obvious reasons so I have a lot to do.
2010 Boxster base

- My convertible top will go up and down if I use the ‘activation’ (testing) functions in the Durametric software. However, the buttons don’t work and the car doesn’t seem to be aware it has a convertible top (no warnings of any sort based on top position). I found this comment that indicates there are options I may need to enable/disable? I’ll also check the relays but it was all working fine previously and again, no errors. I *have* selected ‘convertible’ under ‘rear module/coding/vehicle type’.

- This one is very dumb: I have options to choose manual/pdk/pdk with gear shift. I have PDK and the shifter that lets me toggle by moving it right to left. That’s pdk w/ gs, correct? When in the modules, I should choose Automatic for transmission, yes?

- When I start the car, the climate control display flashes for about 10 seconds…this is new. Little video of it happening. Excuse the mess, I have removed the (aftermarket) radio and am cleaning everything.

- Previously, I could control my windows after I took the key out, with the doors open (for instance, if I opened the door and realized I left the window down). Now I can not.

There are a few other little things bugging me but I think I will be able to handle them thanks to previous posts and google. I can post screenshots of things if necessary.

Thank you in advance! PS: If you’re in the East Tennessee area and want to help and/or program your car before this time next week, let me know!

I'm pretty sure, but not 100% certain, that the new rear control module needs to be coded to the car. Not surprisingly, the rear control module controls the top and a bunch of other things. That would be my first step.

Nah. It’s brand new oem. It is detected and read properly. Just SO many settings.

Fixed the top by enabling 'soft top' in, if I recall, Rear Module. Not worried about the AC flashing, whatever. The door coding is more a matter of programming it manually with the key. Overall the Dura allowed me to fix nearly everything. I have it for a few more days if anyone has any questions about specific screens or options. ×
