Default Is my 2010 cayman supposed to have this hose near the lift point?

I went to jack up my cayman today, and noticed this hose sticking out of a hole near the front right jack/lift point.

Is this supposed to be here and what does it do?

That too, I guess. But mainly rainwater. The compartment is not sealed. so water will get in and needs a drain so it doesn't collect.

I'm asking only out of curiosity, but is that the way it came from the factory? That looks like it was installed by a kid with a dull pocketknife. Just wondering...

hey terry... ya thats the way it comes. Its just a corrugated tube that friction fits through the bottom of the fender liner. Not an elaborate design, but simple and it works.

Best
