Cool 987.1 Boxster Coolant Leak Issue

I have an '05 Boxster, 109K miles, purchased in March this year. The car runs great and is in remarkable shape. I noticed the paint chipping on the welded plate where the decals for the oil and coolant re. Closer, I noticed coolant condensation on the plate. Under the plastic base palet, more condensation. I had initially thought this was the cap but removing it when cold it still had pressure. I suspect the pressure relief valve now. Would opening it possibly clear any obstruction or is that inviting more leaks? Anything to clean here besides the residue?

I also have a 2005 BS and I discovered that the pressure relief valve was leaking when the cooling system would not hold enough vacuum when I attempted to use a vacuum refill tool to replace the coolant. I recommend using a coolant pressure tester to confirm where the coolant may be leaking.

Thanks, I will try that. I had relieved the pressure when cold, cycled the relief valve, ran the car to hot and for now, it's not leaking. LOL, your leaks looked a lot like mine.
