Quote: The mods you've done are quality ...Numeric, Ohlins, Fabspeed, Carnewal, Tarett. These are all upper tier parts. Someone is going to get a great car they can occasionally take to the track.

Is that your new GT4?
Thanks, I like the mods too. I feel like they are solid choices that enhance aspects of the car for the better, similar to shining a spotlight on the lead singer during a song on stage.

Yes, that will be my replacement once it’s gone.

She's a beauty, and very tastefully upgraded!

Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it won't be long!

Wow, that's almost the exact car as yours. And pretty much at your original asking price. I don't think he'll get that. High asking price IMO. If you keep yours priced as is, should be a difficult sell for him. Note: That must've been one of the last Caymans produced... the "S" as the 11th digit in VIN indicates production in Porsche's main factory in Stuttgart after the Finland plant was ceasing production. I've seen Cayman R, but never a base Cayman.

Also, I sent you a PM.

PM replied and I guess my thinking was in line with this seller. We'll see what the market demands.

I'd seriously consider listing your car on BAT or C&B. I think it would do well on either platform.

Hey thanks that's a cool little insight. My newly acquired 2012 Boxster S Black Edition also has an "S" as the 11th digit in the VIN. Guess that means it was also produced in Stuttgart!

And GLWTS to the OP. When I look at the asking price of the 2012 Base Cayman linked on PCA, it makes me really appreciate the deal I got.

50k miles on 2009-2012 cayman base in good condition which i have been looking to find for over a year now are very very hard to find, people are asking 32-40 thousand for them from what i can tell. the mid to high 40's for the S models. at 100K miles the base models are getting down to the high 20's and low 30's. i settled for pristine 2007 base model with 30k on the clock. *sigh*

i was searching nationally (U.S) BTW.

just a random data point on asking prices....saw a very low mileage Cayman R (3,000 miles) listed somewhere yesterday, in that rare green peridot or whatever it's called color, asking over $100,000! Someone linked it in the 987s in the WILD section on Autotrader: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...CALERTSEMLSRCH

That's a Cayman R... probably the most overhyped Boxster/Cayman in the world right now...

I agree, I love the Cayman R it was one of the best equipped 987.2 Cayman versions built if you like track events, if you bought one new you could probably sell it for close to what you paid maybe more, as the owner of a 987.2 S it would make more sense to me to buy a 987.2 S for 1/2 the price and customize it any way you want.
