the shift linkage part number you list, - has this changed to the same, but with 04 at the end?

also interested to know exactly what you replaced as the 'new OEM connecting rod' - what part is this?

My track event at Summit Point ended early this past weekend when a shift cable broke on a 2010 987.2 6 speed (28K miles). A numeric kit is on order.
I heard that part number 987.424.023.00 (round part upper right, Porsche Lever I480) is also known to failure. I heard that Porsche no longer offers this 2 piece part and its replaced by a single piece unit. Just wondering if the new part uses the same part number as the old one?
