I replaced the part @jd121 cited in the red oval at the top of the post. I didn’t replace the part you are showing.

Jumping on to this post as it timely and relevant to the initial post.

My track event at Summit Point ended early this past weekend when a shift cable broke on a 2010 987.2 6 speed (28K miles). A numeric kit is on order.

I heard that part number 987.424.023.00 (round part upper right, Porsche Lever I480) is also known to failure. I heard that Porsche no longer offers this 2 piece part and its replaced by a single piece unit. Just wondering if the new part uses the same part number as the old one?
