FYI you can't really change the IMS like you can with the older cars. Well, I guess you can but its much more invasive and complicated and it doesn't seem like a thing anyone bothers with.

That's pretty much where i landed too. And yeah all you can do is improve the oiling of the IMS. An '09+ would be a much better option.
