Hi there.

I live in Germany, and I am about to buy a 987 Boxster S.

It was reimported to Germany from the UAE.

The roof and spoiler won't function anymore. The control unit is defective, damaged by water. I suppose the drains were never maintenanced.

My questions: can you operate the roof manually, and what is the parts number of the control uni for the roof and spoiler? I am trying to source a used one in Germany. Car drives.

As the car is rather beaten up by the heat I consider it a good basis for a tracktool. I will be having a few more questions about that.

is there a manual release for the back lid that covers the roof?

Do you know the parts number for the controller?

OK thanks. I will see what that involves. I would not mind if the roof would work again, if it only involves replacing the module. Also in terms of resale value.
