Default Rear Control Module under seat needs replacing

I need to replace a Rear Control Module under the seat for a 2005 987 Boxster.
Part number 997.618.260.04 (I can only find 991.618.260.08). Boy is it hard fining a used one.
I'm not sure if I need that programmed or just swap it in.

I'm not surprised that it might be hard to find a used one.. from what I recall, any water that gets into the interior of the Boxster will tend to pool up and mess up that module. I don't know for sure, but I would be surprised if it DIDNT require some dealer programing to marry it to the car.

Terrible location. I even read about it and put it in a thick plastic bag and taped up the ends, but water still got in.
