Default 987.2 55K Service

Hello All,

I'm about to hit 55k miles on my 2011 987.2 Base Cayman. I'm looking to purchase all the service parts along with a few preventative items so i'll be good for the next 50k miles. I've already changed the cabin filter, air filter and battery recently. Is there anything else im missing below, crank pulley, fluids, mounts?

Water Pump/Thermostat

Just curious, why are you ordering a drive belt when one comes with the water pump kit?

The pumps tend to indicate when they are going out based on wear. I just did my 60k service on my car, I opted to do the belt (was showing signs of wear) and the AOS, but the water pump was fine. Yours may be too. You may also want to do brake fluid and trans fluid along with engine oil.

Agreed on the brake and transmission fluids.

I would also add the motor mount to the list, my shop told me that while it’s not an item normally on the list the mounts tear prematurely and should be replaced every 40 - 60k miles and more frequently if you drive aggressively.

True, I did the inserts a while ago prior to the 60k and replaced mounts at the same time. Do you know if the trans is similar Afshin or just motor mounts?

My understanding is that it’s just the motor mounts that start cracking/failing.
