Default 987 abs/psm faults/no crank

I'm baffled-2005 S MT. I blew a fuse from the acc. outlet in the passenger's wheel well putting the console back together. I replaced the fuse and that worked fine. Took the car for a drive and all was fine except I noticed the radio wasn't working. I decided to go thru the fuse box to see if another fuse had blown as well. I couldn't find anything, but now the radio works. Then it all got crazy-I copied below from another forum since it's exactly what's happening. His resolution was a nicked wire where he was doing some suspension work. I didn't do anything other than remove the climate control module to repaint the temp/fan buttons.

- When I try to start the car, the warning chime starts off normal, then gets VERY LOUD.
- A "Warning brake distribution" message appears in red.
- A "PSM failure" message appears.
- An "ABS failure" message appears.
- A "Depress clutch pedal" message appears.
- The coolant fan to the left (front) radiator comes on full blast. I've never heard it before!
- The car does not try to engage the starter.

How old is your battery? Sometimes people see many weird warnings and lights when the batteries start to die.

OK-it's back. I have no real explanation. I did put the battery on a trickle charger overnight to make sure. I tried starting and the same thing was happening. I disconnected it this am and pulled each fuse and tested with meter just in case it had a break I couldn't see. It fired right up and had a PSM light that went away as soon as I started driving it. Who knows, but it's ok now.

So you removed and reinstalled the ccu?

Sound like communication faults on the Can bus. I had similar issue when I was pairing down the wire harness, and If I recall, it waa an issue on the bus.
Rechech your plugs, just having an unterminiated connection could cause faults.

Glad it's back. Why did the acc fuse blow? from the description it sounded like an intermittent connection or an intermittent short somewhere. Just double check your steps and make sure there are no pinched wires anywhere causing a short circuit.

Thx guys. The fuse blowing was my own doing, I shorted it on reassembly.
