I am pulling apart the rear bulkhead behind the seats to replace the water pump on a friends 2006 Cayman S. When pulling the carpet out you need to pull that handle (#8) on top off to get the
interior piece (#4) off to get the top fastener (#33) off that is hiding under the interior piece. What size Torx is the bolt (#9) that holds the handle on? It is bigger than a 40
and smaller than a 45. The URL below shows the part diagram I was referencing
URL to parts diagram: https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/p...c/528u/807050/
I pulled the bulkhead insulation out by force, but will need to take the handle off to put things back correctly.
I have had my 2010 Cayman S apart before that is why I am surprised I don't have the right size.
Thanks
Chuck

The article on Cayman Register says: "M8 triple square spline tool. As a alternate tool I used a Torx T40 bit"
I've had mine off and I don't know if I have an "M8 triple square spline tool" whatever that is
SO I must have used a T40 even if it wasn't an exact match, I don't recall them being in there super tight.

I went out and grabbed the 40 and the 45. Went to my car and checked my car uses a TORX 45. I tried the 40 om the 06 and it turned in the bolt.
Thanks for the input
