I have a Foxwell NT530 and have coded the rear spoiler. I haven't looked for windows auto down but can try later this week if I have time. The X431 looks like a really nice interface.
I have the Launch X431 V+. I have used it to code several things on my 997.2 (spoiler, seat airbags, seatbelt warning etc.) and my friend has used it to code stuff on his 987.1. What specifically are you trying to do? There is a lot of activity over in the Cayenne forum but not much in the 997/987/991/981 forums. It may be good to get a thread going and start building some guidance on coding options for these models.
Sorry for the old thread bump but I've borrowed a friend's X431 in order to get my 2011 Boxster Spyder's headlights and tail lights to not be permanently on. It's a Florida-delivered car so not Canadian or RoW, which means that someone must have messed with the settings on the car in a previous life. It has the standard halogen lights, Sport Chrono, PCM 3.0, but doesn't have a menu option in the gauge cluster for the DRLs.
I noticed that some menu options on the X431 have "NE" and "Not Running" as coding options for lights, but I can't figured out what they do. I also see separate menu options for Daytime Running Lights and for Daytime Driving Lights, but again, no clue what the difference is.
Oh, I should note that I somehow got the headlights and taillights to stay Off with the engine running, but now the small LED's in the front won't turn on unless the parking lights or headlights are On. Maybe this is normal behavior? I was hoping to always have the small LEDs On no matter the headlight switch position.
No, the small LED strips for your car's configuration won't be acting as some kind of DRL. It's turned on and off with parking and main lights.
Excellent, thanks for the info as I’m making sure that my car is now back to a factory configuration. Too bad that the LEDs don’t operate on their own.
