2006 S. Bose surround system option. No DC changer. Would like to upgrade. would like to be able to play music from other sources, IPOD, MP3 etc. Called the always reliable and helpful Crutchfield. Their very extensive data base says that the only thing that can be done is to remove EVERYTHING and start from scratch. Apparently the entire system is interconnected, amp, CD player, speakers etc. there is even some fiber optic stuff in there somewhere.

Not looking to spend $$$$$$$$ for this. Was hoping to be able to just change the part in the dash. Any thought's/advice?
