Default Bug removal

Look what my Spyder caught! Inside the drivers side rear light housing, how do I remove the bugger?

Let us know if you figure it out, I have a bit of dust in mine and would love to know how to get in there to clean it.

Probably going to have to remove the light and leave it out until it crawls out or dies inside the housing. Alternatively, you could remove the housing and fill it with 70 percent rubbing alcohol, if you can find any with sanitizers being still in short supply. It will kill your glow bug and then you will need to maneuver it out with the solution back through the plug opening then borrowing you wife’s eye brow plucking tweezers to extract it, best not to mention why you are borrowing them however. Think of it as one of those labyrinth steel ball puzzles you must have played as a kid. The ETOH shouldn’t leave spots or damage the electronics water could cause. You still want to allow the ETOH to fully evaporate overnight once you have drained the housing. Cheers

I believe there are vents that allow the lens assembly to breath (evaporate condensation, etc). I don't know the exact locations, but some judiciously applied compressed air might do the trick and dislodge the bug without harming any delicate components inside. Or it could make it worse and wedge the insect into a corner.

thanks for suggestions, the bug has perished on it's own and moved to a different area in the housing, it appears to be disintegrating
