Default SeaSucker Bike rack

Has anyone had any experience with this rack on their Cayman? https://www.seasucker.com/products/t...SAAEgI3i_D_BwE. Was looking at this for ease of use. My concern is placing it on the rear glass and possible breakage.

Awesome, Thank you. have you tried mounting it on the roof and putting wheel on window? I have both Cayman R and GT4, was going to use primary on the R, but good to see you have it working on the GT4.

Nah...I'd rather have it sit as low as possible:

Glass may break, but I don't use as much suction in those cups. I keep glass cleaner and clean rags whenever transporting.

not sure what the max speed is but i've most certainly driven past that. i highly recommend it. keep microfibers and quick lube with you to clean up before applying so you dont scratch your baby

Don't know if you've bought yet, but a guy in the club I rode with this winter had a one-piece SeaSucker that fit right on the glass on his Cayman - very slick, and he loved it. It might have been the Komodo model shown on their site- pricey.
FWIW- they are based in Bradenton, FL, where we were riding out of.

I would use the Porsche transport system, a two part carrier that bolts to the Cayman roof through 4 hinged flaps. It will withstand 100 mph and also side forces, bumpy curves. I know as I use my car for a bike carrier every other day. Zwift on rain days. No worries about semi's backdraft causing your bike to wobble side to side and be ripped of your car at 80 MPH due to loss of suction from the osculation.

Only 911's and 987's have attachment bolt flaps made for mounting inserts and the center bolt. The mounting insert solid alu block fits snuggly into the roof attachment slots. The rack towers fit over the top of the solid alu blocks for a very secure mounting attachment point. Looks are secondary to a Porsche roof transport solution. Even a set of race wheels/tires can be carried safely above the car on the Porsche roof transport carrier.
