Oh man, that sucks. Glad you're ok. Car doesn't look to be too bad. My last dear encounter (years ago) tore the whole front end out of my Buick company car.

It was a pretty small dear, so I was lucky. As Danny Sullivan said, “There are two kinds of drivers. Those that have hit a deer and those that will hit a deer”. This is actually my second.

Sorry to see that. My younger son took out a headlight and part of the grill of our GMC2500 several years ago. Then a month later he hit bambi with my Lotus Elise- even though he had stopped it ran into the car and still took out the windshield and passenger mirror

I definitely agree with Mr. Spin and Win

^^^ Does the rear hatch area of the Cayman get hot or is it insulated from the engine?

I took the Spyder on a 200 mile back road/canyon run today, a touch cool but epic as always. These cars love being driven hard and always seems to run better afterwards.

'Warm' I think is an appropriate word, and even then, only slight.
Unlike the trunk in the R8, where my crappy old Zero Halliburton was literally too hot to touch after a 30 minute commute!

That's my dumpy old 1969 Honda S800M:

Not much to look at, but with an F1-derived, twin-cam, solid rod, modular crank, four-carbed 100bhp/L engine that routinely revs to 10,000 rpm, they are a machine that has to be heard to be believed.

Went out for a really long drive this weekend. Amazing road but way too many cows and deer running loose.

We had a neighbor hood car show and had some fun surprises! People with fun cars parked at the edge of their driveways this weekend.
