Default Help identifying part

Friend got a 2006 Cayman S, when he opened the door, this was laying on the ground next to driver's door. It says made in Germany on it. Anybody know what this is and where it goes?
Thanks

Google the part number..

Looks like it's "Trim cover upper" on the left side. Number 26 in the diagram..

Thanks, didn't even notice the part number, duh.
It's hard to tell from the PET but it appears to be the underside of the front trunk, is that right?

It's been a while since I've had a 987C, but from the looks of the diagram it/s part of the trim between the headliner and back hatch, maybe? Pretty sure its in the interior and not the frunk.

Go look at your car and compare to the diagram.. should be obvious once you have both side by side.
