Default From MINI to Porsche in Florida

Hello all. This summer I made the jump from MINI to Porsche with the purchase of a 981 Boxster. I spent 15 years in the MINI community with a 2004 MINI JCW Cooper (still own) and my last one was a 2012 MINI John Cooper Works Coupe. In a lot of ways the MINI Coupe was similar to the Boxster. It definitely made me want a two-seater again. I originally intended to buy a 981 Cayman, my one requirement was that it was a manual. While I was at the amazing new Porsche South Orlando, they showed me a manual Boxster that had just arrived. Nearly new condition, only 33,000 miles. I wasn't sure I wanted a convertible, but after a test drive and some thought I decided that if I'm buying a fun car and live 1 mile from the beach, maybe I should try the Boxster. So two weeks later they sent me a text about the Boxster. I made a counter offer which was accepted, and the following weekend I picked up my Porsche. Lifetime wishlist item checked off! Here are some photos.

I've already learned a lot by reading through this forum. Hope to participate more as I attend some events and learn about this car.

Congratulations on the new ride! I went back and forth on a manual 981 Cayman vs Boxster as well. I ended up with a Cayman, either way they’re both great cars.
