What do you guys do that live in cold climates and still drive in the winter? It was 20F here this morning and won't be above 50 for the foreseeable future, and it gets dark too early to wash it at home after work. Spray wand washes? I am a little guilty about how dirty it is, but also glad it isn't just sitting in the garage collecting dust.
More people should drive their Boxsters year-round. After all, its precision, balance, and poise are just as welcome—if not more so—in low-grip conditions. —Dave VanderWerp
I hand wash mine the same way I do during the summer with the exception of my bucket of water is warm. The biggest thread to winter driving our cars is the salt/sand combination on the roads which will ruin just about any car.
1) Take advantage of any dry day with temps about 35 or so, push car out into drive and hand wash / dry
2) When weather fails to cooperate, and I just can't stand it anymore... find a local detailer to hand wash / dry indoors
Wish I had a big heated building with a floor drain
Yeah, self car wash seems in my future. I get it doesn't have to be spot free, but it looks like it's been through a max max filming.

This is why I couldn't live in Chicago or more north. I'd freeze trying to wash my car in 45F, much less 35.
A good coating before winter helps. Luckily where I live the weather has wide swings all winter.
If it's cold and I can't resist then I power wash with my Karcher to knock the worse of it off and then do a waterless wash with good microfibers. Using Adams right now and it's good. Follow up with a ceramic booster.
