Default Fix or Replace Keyfob?

The lock button on the key for my 2012 Boxster has broken and keeps falling out of the remote. For now, I just have a piece of tape over it to keep it in place. I found a kit on Suncoast that includes new buttons but they say it doesn't work with the 987.2 keys. The button has 2 small legs or tabs that snap in and one of them has broken. Can this be fixed? Or is my only option buying a new key ($$$) from the dealer?

Very happy with the results.

Good luck!

I got one off Ebay. It has been fine for 6 months.

Same thing happened to my 12 Cayman. Got this off amazon and just snapped the half with the new buttons onto my old key without changing any of the electron

Only needed to use the buttons. Everything snapped back together working great
