For autocross purposes, I'm looking at installing a Schnell weekender harness bar (compared to other harness bars, it sits a little higher behind the headrest and seems more ideal to me if retaining the stock sport seats w/o holes above the shoulder area(to comply with class rules)) and running a 4 point Schroth harness with the lower end of the shoulder straps buckled right in the midline of the body at the ~ level above the thighs. I'm planning on positioning the upper end of the shoulder straps about 4-6 inches apart on the bar behind the headrest hoping it would wrap around my body a little more optimally. I know this isn't a very common setup but has anyone tried doing the same and found it to not work very well?
