Default Bigger tires on 20" wheels-Cayman S

Stock tires are wore out on my Cayman S which came with 20" wheels. Looks like they are 8.5" and 10" wide. Car has X73 GTS suspension which is lowered. Current tires are Pirelli's 235 & 265 35 20s. Would it be OK to put Bridgestone RE-71s that are 245/35/20 on front and 285/35/20 on the rear?! Or will they. rub on the track? If these don't work, I guess the next best option is Michelin 4S in the normal size or maybe buy different 18" wheels (which I don't want to do). Thanks

Can't believe no responses? Has no one here tried to put bigger tires on their stock 20" rims?

I am considering the stock 20's and would like to know this as well. The standard tire sizes seems a bit stretched...

I know that on a 987.2 Cayman, 245 front 285 rear works fine. I even had 305 in the rear when I purchased my car, but they looked goofy. 285 looks and works fine. X73 is lowered but not that much so rubbing should not be an issue. You may want to add negative camber which will help tuck the tires in and also with performance and tire wear on the track.

You will be fine. I run 19” 8.5” and 10” OZ wheels with 245/35 & 285/35 on my 987.1 with no issues. I do have -2.0 F and -1.5 R camber tho.
