987.1 PSM, Directionals, Headlight Flasher - failures - could use some help
Hey guys - I have an '05 987.1 Boxster that has been flawless for me. Finished washing it this morning and not have the following failures (and have tried disconnecting the battery with no luck)
So I see I've stumped the collective! I think I've also stumped the Tech folks at PCA. Posted the question there an also no response... My indie is next I guess....
Well, this is a long shot, but in the foggy recesses of my memory I seem to remember something about the "front body control module" or some such getting wet when the car was washed and the water was aimed in just the wrong way towards the headlights. The module would not appreciate the shower, and would quit. Your symptoms, largely related to front-end components, reminds me of that problem. It's been a long time, however, and I thought the problem had been fixed in all cars by now, but who knows? Have your shop take a look at the module to at least find out if it is something related to it or not. Good luck, and let us know what you find.
