Default New Boxster Owner - unusual question!

=====SOLVED====== aftermarket rear parking sensor speaker


I picked up this 2010 this weekend. Upon doing some spot cleaning, (so no new photos yet!) I came across this small device, haphazardly screwed into the trim panel behind the driver seat- the wire leads off into the engine bay. I am not quite sure as to its purpose- whether altruistic or malicious

Okay so followed the wire and its to an aftermarket parking sensor kit that looks to be pretty well installed. just the speaker wasn't,

Mystery solved and soon will post pics

Thanks for your post and glad you solved the mystery. In relation to your post, looking for recommendations on easy to install and effective rear parking sensors. For 08 CS. Or installer in SE Florida.
