Default 3,800rpm stumble

Curious as to if anyone else has a small stumble around 3,800 rpm? Will try to attach a video. Don’t notice it when accelerating hard but more so when just cruising from stop light to stop light.

Check http://www.pure-gas.org to see if you can find some ethanol-free gas in your area. The only time I seem to feel a bit of hesitation is when they switch to the summer formulations around here. Hard to be sure because the effect is so subtle, but my impression is that ethanol-free gas eliminates the symptom completely.

If you look at an OEM power / torque curve there is a valley in the 3000-4000rpm range. Not huge, but output does drop off a little bit. I expect this is because some country somewhere has some combination of altitude and fuel that Porsche had to protect for in their global engine map.

Another one I've noticed is what feels like the changeover in cam phasing (variable valve timing) in the 3200rpm range. Under light throttle acceleration you can feel a bit of a hiccup going through that range.

This.
Everybody notices this. It's normal vehicle operation. You become use to it after a while.

I'm wondering if it could be EGR related.

Even though I've read similar posts probably a dozen times, it's still reassuring to see others confirming this is normal.

The other one is the "tire skipping" issue while turning at low speeds, especially when it's cold. I've been dealing with it again lately and it still kind of racks my nerves every time- even though I know it's normal.
