I have the GT4, which is not a daily. My girlfriend has her 718 Cayman, and she does drive it the majority of the time. We also have a Macan, but I'll be getting rid of it in 2019 I think. So I just bought a leftover inventory '17 Fiesta ST to play with. I considered a Golf R, GTI, Focus ST/RS and then landed on the FiST.

I travel for work though.... So my daily is usually a National Rental car.

Tell me more. Any particular year? Coolant pipes?

DD? 2010 Golf. Spider and 98 C2S for the evenings and weekend romps.

A bit of a unicorn: Original owner IS300 with 205k miles. Ssshhhh. I will be moving on from it soon and need to figure out what to get next to accompany my precious 981. At least I also can drive my (son’s) 128i 6sp while he’s in college.

Wife wont give up the minivan lifestyle. She drives a ‘16 Odyssey. Say what you want but it’s a convenient car to have in the house...and frees me up to get less practical cars.

I agree. The only downside is an indecisive 8 speed transmission (not unique to Toyota for sure). Lots of strange things happen when you're in 5th gear at 25mph and want to accelerate.

Good for you. Sad for BMW. Their quality (and corresponding resale values) have taken a serious dump.

2013 Boxster PDK is my daily driver.

I'm a musician, so on weekends the Chevy Equinox LTZ hauls my equipment and we use it when it rains here in Flo-Rida. I have loaded a keyboard, an amp, and stand in the Boxster for smaller gigs!!!

Wife has a 2016 Mazda MX-5 she won't part with.

Panamera S is the daily driver. Wife has a cayenne for a daily and drives the 981 boxster on sunny days.

Nor should she.

Unless it is for another Miata. Any other Miata!

Sad for me when I sold my BMW after picking up the 911. Got pennies for it. 4 years old, 40K miles, superb condition, and never gave me the slightest hint of trouble. Build quality was also superb. Still drove and felt like it did the day I picked it up brand new.

I miss my 2015 Tundra Crewmax limited every day. I should have just kept it. All the practicality one could ever need, and all the creature comforts expected in a modern vehicle. Terrible gas mileage and a handful to park in tight spaces, but still, it's the daily driver I miss the most and I will likely dump my vanilla RDX for another Tundra one day. Waiting on seeing the redesign, likely in 2020, to decide.

I strongly considered a used Cayenne too, but just didn't want to have to think about the reliability and upkeep.

This thread has made me realize how boring my RDX is, not that i didn't already know. 😂

Daily the 2013 Boxster S 6 speed
Track weapon and occasional driver the 2014 Cayman S PDK

I only drive the F150 if I'm moving a bunch of bikes, or need other cargo hauling.

It's an incredibly practical car. Not perfect, but a really good DD and just fun enough to make it interesting.

Daily Drivers are a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado and a 2016 Subaru Outback. Fun time is split between a 2011 Cayman S and a 1932 Ford 5 window coupe.
