But it takes as long to clean them as it does to wash the entire car inside and out. Not enough to change them, but they can be a chore.
So, I suggest you see if you can live with the cleaning chore factor before modifying them further. Just my 2 cents.
Still love this color. Man 'o man, what a great color.

I like the wheels -- bought the car in January and have been driving it most of the spring and summer. You're right about keeping them clean -- it is a pain, but I don't like those wheels that have so much open space that you wonder how strong they are (I know they are, they just don't look it). I'm open to the thought of new wheels, but also thinking about painting these.

When I was looking, I saw a beautiful 981 at Carmax in Portland, Oregon. It was nicely speced, color was Cognac, with dark brown interior. I fell for the 981's because of that car. If it had been on the east coast, I'd have gone for it.

I don’t disagree, but I was early in the process, and flying to Portland to find out I didn’t want the car was too big a leap. Since Carmax doesn’t allow PPI, that played in my decision as well. In the end, I found a great CPO 4 hours away.

I’ve only seen one Cayman in Macadamia and on FB of all places. Seen at least a handful of 911’s this color. A guy by the screen name “Mike Green” has a beautifully tastefully modded one on Starke Fuch replica wheels. As someone above said I wouldn’t have ordered that color but def WOULD NOT reject it used.

Late reply to this thread but it was useful when I bought my macadamia brown 997.2 cab a couple of years ago so I thought I’d post an update and thanks to those who have already commented. After two years I still love this colour and it attracts so many compliments. It’s a lot warmer and more interesting than the classic Stuttgart shades of silver, black, white and grey and it seems to really suit cabs in particular. I’d seen a 991 cab and Boxster in anthracite brown before I bought the 997 which both looked amazing too. Brown’s a heritage colour on 911s and will date well imo. I’ve attached a few of pics.
