Truly I'm back and forth on this decision, love the uniqueness of the color..

I would also look at what other options it has. For me it's the sum being great than the parts. With the right wheels, seats, seal belts, MT etc... you could be looking at a very very special car. I believe they made quite a few 997.1 TT cabs in this colour. You may be able to find some shots on eBay Motors or Cars.com.

+1

Package in total is what you will live with. By reference, my current Boxster S had every single option I wanted, none that I did not, and the color combo (outside/interior/top) pleased me as much or more than any other combo I was looking at. Almost 3 years and 30k+ miles later, zero regrets. Still charmed by the package in it's entirety. I did add 19" factory wheels (kept the 18's for winter). Else, no mods.

As stated here, 'sum being greater than the parts.'

Good luck!

Dave

IMO:
White and black is "totally neutral".
I have yellow and black which emphasises the "sports car".
The macadamia seems to emphasise the shape and has some subtlety.

(My first car was a brand new Cortina GT and was perfect for me at the time--except I couldn't get the colour I wanted. I took the green and learned very quickly to love it.)

I have a triple brown 981 Boxster GTS. It is mahogany metallic/espresso natural leather/brown top. I get lots of compliments on it. I orderered it specifically because it was not one of the usual Porsche colors that you see all the time. Actually I saw a macadamia Boxster on the street and that was piqued my interest in ordering the GTS in brown. The mahogany metallic has a bit of a reddish tint to it and the macadamia has a bit of a greenish tint. Here’s a pic at Charlotte Motor Speedway a few weeks ago.

Beauty. That is a very cool color. Hell, I'd love just say it all the time... Macadamia Brown...

Congrats and enjoy!

Seen it in the flesh and it looks good plus its always nice to have something a little different. I have gotten an award every time I show and its primarily due to the unusual color!

My wife's car is "brown". It's metallic Cognac. She gets crazy compliments on it. For me, the silver rim + 'brown' paint is really sharp.

I looked for 6 months for a 997.2 Targa 4S in macadamia and finally found one in Houston -- flew down and grabbed it. I couldn't be happier. Now to make it truly mine!
