Default Squeaky Wind Deflector >110MPH.

My 08 Boxster's wind deflector makes these loud squeaky sounds when the top is down and the car is going >110 or so.

Has anyone else had to deal with this or have a fix?

It is going to flex in high winds, and I think that >110mph (assuming you are on this side of the pond) will do that. The only fix is to remove it temporarily. It might get windy inside the cockpit, though.

Assuming the squeak is the deflector rubbing in the mounting groove then a light coating of talcum powder or Krytox should do the trick.
(Or, of course, slow down )

Thanks! I'll make this a weekend project. Need to replace an air filter anyways.

Yep, no cure for that. There's an aftermarket clear deflector sold by Suncoast (at least it was sold in the past), but it's even flimsier than the stock one, only as thick as the channels where the stock one slides into. A POS IMO. As mentioned, just lube the channels a little bit with silicon spray, dry it, and shouldn't squeak anymore. Good luck.
