PSE rattles
I was considering getting the PSE at some point, but I've been hearing over time the PSE exhaust will start to rattle and you can't buy a part to fix the rattling. It won't happen overnight obviously, but over time.
Any validity to this?

There is nothing with PSE any more susceptible to rattles than non-PSE exhaust. If you hear a rattle, something somewhere is loose, but any exhaust can have that problem. The flapper valves are so simple, there is nothing there to be concerned with to cause rattles. I have 24k on mine with 4 track days, no rattles, just glorious 6 cylinder tunes in the air.

Actually there is, the Valve vacuum actuators, if the seals on them give out, the inner diaphragm will rattle. Although as stated previously, I've never heard of PSE rattling.

In the case of failed diaphragm bladders, your valves will always be open, as if PSE switch is activated. That's abnormal operation and not a healthy PSE system. It needs parts replaced. For a PSE system that's working correctly, there is nothing to rattle.
I just moved from a 981 Boxster S with PSE to a 981 Boxster S without PSE. First off no rattles ever on the one with PSE. Now having driven one with no PSE can you guess what my first modification will be.
I am removing PSE from my Cayman S, PM me if you are in the market, I will have it off the vehicle tomorrow.

. And yes, already removed it twice, putting rubber tape wherever it might rattle, and no change. Oh well.
