Default New to Porsche - White on White 987.2

Hello Everyone,

My names Maddy and I just wanted to introduce myself as I just purchased my first Porsche last month, a 987.2 Cayman S.

I had been looking for about half of a year before finding the perfect car. Over that period of time I've spent a ridiculous amount of time reading threads on Rennlist from various topics on IMS issues with the 987.1 to things like the best coilovers to put on your car. You all certainly educated me enough to dodge a bullet when I almost purchased a 987.1 and got a PPI that revealed a ton of metal scattered through out the oil filter. I then knew I must patiently wait for a 987.2 Cayman S. It was temping to buy a base because of the mass amount of them on the market but I'm happy I waited for my car to come up! The car hit every single check mark on my list of must haves!

Checklist:
987.2 S
Carrara white
6 speed MT
Black interior

The car also came from factory with the seat backs and the 19" Carrara wheels painted white to match the exterior color of the car.

I figured I would post on here to introduce myself and thank you all for educating me throughout my buying process and now with the ownership of my car.

I'm certainly looking forward to posting on Rennlist more! I added some photos for fun I had taken the week after I purchased the car, I figured I'd step in a few of them. Feel free to follow me on instagram where I post many photos of my car! @maddynielsen

Um, nice introduction AND Cayman S.

My advice after owning 6 Pcars; Get a good one, maintain it well and drive the $#!t out of it!..and of course keep feeding the nice pictures as "upgrades" come along. Keep reading Rennlist/forum info, but don't let the minutiae take away from the pleasure, life is short ,enjoy!

Great choice! It looks like the wheel centers are also painted body color which isn't too common.

Enjoy in good health and welcome to Rennlist.

Thank you everyone! I believe I bought myself a good one! I find myself constantly on here reading new things, just trying to educate myself.
I certainly will keep you all posted on the upgrades as they come along!

Thank you! I really love the seat backs white, I think it looks so nice inside and from behind the car! I'd love to see how yours come out if you decide to do it!

My would-be configuration if I got a Cayman (or Cayman R).
Enjoy! Now, get that out for a drive!

I didn't realize it was uncommon for the center caps to be painted as well.
Also I think the configuration is spot on! Thank you!
I've been taking her out every day!

Welcome to .2 ownership; you will this car. I searched for 18 months for the right one and came across all the same temptations, but so glad I waited.

Funny enough I found your instagram before this post.
