Default Hitch + Bike rack

Has anyone installed a hitch/bike rack on their 718 boxster.
718 boxster is my first Porsche and it is replacing Subaru brz which helped me shuttle my road bike twice a week.
Any recommendations/ suggestions?

I had a Bird rack on my 987 and liked it very much. Very stable in use, and easy to remove uprights when not needed.

Check on Planet 9 as well, there's a company called Gururack that someone over there got a hitch for on a 981 which hides under the plate, then you can use a 1up USA Style rack for a bike.

http://www.gururack.com/

wildwood systems is also looking into doing something similar. And reply back here I have mail out to both.

I would love to see how the SeaSucker is going to attach to his soft top....

I looked at SeaSucker for my Cayman last year. In person, it does not appear to be strong enough for holding a bike on the highway on my Cayman.
Looked at having a custom hitch made, over a grand....
plus a bike rack...
Factory Porsche roof rack plus all necessary attachments over $1700.
Bought a slightly used Jeep and problem is solved. Really didn't want to drive the Porsche to the trailheads anyway. Too many quads and 4x4 trucks kicking up dust.

Keep your Suburu as the bike transport vehicle. Less headaches and heartaches than trying to abuse your Boxster into carrying a bike rack and bikes. Do you really think that the Boxster will survive a year of bike transporting and come away unscathed? Keep the Suburu, it is better suited for that task.

Lol, my bad I typed my response before I completely read the post.

I have to agree - I personally wouldn’t use my sports car to transport my bikes to a trail head.

I contacted him via the above email and Phone number. I believe he is racing and traveling for next few weeks.

So I did actually hear back from Oliver at Guru Rack, and he made me a hitch for my 981. It works fantastically well, but I forgot to get back on this thread, for more info check out the thread here: https://www.planet-9.com/981-chat/20...-status-2.html
