Default New to me 2005 S

Hey guys

Picked up a 2005 S and sold my 99 2.5 on the same day!. Just got her home. 72,000 miles, Atlas grey, sport seats, Bose sound and Xenons. Very clean. My only to do at the moment is replace the rear tires, they were OK for the safety check but driving with the top up they are sooo noisy! Other then that she runs like a top.

Looking forward to learning more from this group!

Welcome aboard and congrats. I must say, I'm kinda partial to this particular year and configuration. I love the Bose and Xenons on my '05 987S.

Enjoy!

CK, congrats on the '05 S. I had the same year and model with nothing but great luck. Enjoy

Congrats! I still have fond memories of my 2005 S. And must feel like a hot rod compared to the 2.5!

It sure does! I think it would be neck and neck with my 3.6 Carrera. The 3.6 has a lot more bottom end torque, the 3.2 screams on the top end. I actually checked to see if it had an aftermarket intake or if it was desnorkled from the noise it makes at wot, lol.

These cars seem to eat rear tires. I have 23,000 miles on my set of PS2 N2's and the rears are very done. They proved to be pretty impressive rain tires, BTW.

I found and installed a set of the factory option 19's for summer (as above) and relegated the stock 18's, that came on the car, to winter duty with Pirelli Sottozero's. Very pleased with that set-up so far.

Congrats!! I have an 05 S with Bose and Xenons. Love that car. I shop occasionally but haven't found anything I want to replace it with. Besides, my wife would kill me if I got rid of it. It's the kind of car that every year I grow more fond of it rather than bored with it.
